Vitiligo cure through RNAi?
I was just watching a show at the Nova site about the discovery of RNAi (the ‘i’ stands for interference) in cells. It’s best that you go read what the experts wrote about it, but here is a short quote from the site about it:
Here was a part of the body’s natural immune system that, it seemed, might be enlisted to fight almost every disease imaginable; brain disorders like Huntington’s and Alzheimer’s, deadly viral infections, cancer, every condition in which “silencing” rogue genes might stop disease onset or progression.
Since vitiligo is considered an autoimmune disease, perhaps our cure can be found through the RNAi discovery.
