It’s not often that I get excited about skin care products, but this weekend while shopping I went into a great shop called, LUSH. All of their products are hand-made with all natural ingredients…some are even freshly mixed from their refrigerator and for sale in what looks like a salad bar (see picture of face mask mixtures below).
While perusing the many cool soaps, shampoos, and perfumes, I came across these Massage Bars which are actually lotion in a solid form. The main ingredient is shea butter so it glides onto your skin and deeply moisturizes immediately- and it smell amazing!!
Okay, so why am I talking about face masks and lotions? Because when I read the ingredients for the Hottie Massage Bar I found 2 very interesting ingredients: Black Pepper Oil and Ginger Oil. Now, you might be saying, “yeah, and….?”. Well, we know about the testing being done with black pepper as a treatment for vitiligo, and over the years I’ve read many articles about the curative properties of ginger for skin ailments.
I paid the kind-of crazy price of $8.95 for this special little bar of lotion so I can test it on my white patches to see if it might stimulate re-pigmentation on my hands. If I see any freckling, you will be the first to know 🙂
