“A quick comment about going gluten-free: I’ve had celiac for many years. Going gluten free doesn’t have to cost a penny more. Forget all the wheat “substitutes” (which cost $). Get some new recipes, eat foods using potatoes and rice instead. It’s really that simple and easy…” Paul
This is great advice, Paul, thanks. Even for those of us with vitiligo who have not been diagnosed with celiac, it is worth noting that many of those with vitiligo also are low in B12, and since under normal conditions B12 is absorbed through the lining of the stomach, perhaps an improperly working digestive system contributes to the vitiligo gene turning on.
Have you tried a gluten free diet? What results did it yield?
