I received an email today from a woman asking whether or not the XTRAC treatments are covered by insurance. It is covered by some companies.
I was contacted by a company who arranged for me to try the treatment and write about the results.  I agreed to do it because if there is something out there that can re-pigment skin, I want to know about it and share that information with as many people as possible.

Today was my first visit to the dermatologist, Dr. Ring, for my XTRAC laser vitiligo treatments. I arrived at the office and was immediately taken to an examination. A few minutes later, Dr. Ring and a nurse came in and made a pictorial documentation of the locations of my white patches with a computer program. The doctor explained various treatment options and fortunately I am a good candidate for successful treatment with the laser.

After pondering a while as to why i was not repigmenting, I began to wonder, “if my body was not naturally absorbing the B12, why would it do so just because I was taking a high dose?” This lead me to wonder why I wasn’t absorbing the B12. Then I remembered a great story I read about a little girl named Emily whose family completely changed their diet and lifestyle to cure their daughter of vitiligo. It worked because Emily had an intolerance to gluten and once they cleared that from her diet, she was better.

Nothing short of amazing. That’s what I think when I see the results shown for the XTRAC laser treatments for vitiligo.
I am so excited to start my treatments in a couple of weeks. Because my skin has shown rapid re-pigmentation from just sitting in the sun daily for 30 minutes, I am fairly certain that this treatment will be successful. My complexion is an olive tone which tans easily in the summer, but in the winter, my skin is fair enough that the vitiligo areas are barely visible.
